Why DoRaa?
DoRaa began with a belief that opportunity can start with something as simple as a thread.
By bringing together design and traditional craftsmanship, we create products that connect communities — from the women who make them to the homes that welcome them.
Because thread binds.
Because thread remembers.
Because this thread connects her to you.
DoRaa began with a question - What happens when skill meets opportunity?
Across many villages, we met women who carried extraordinary craftsmanship but limited access to sustainable income. What they needed was not charity, but opportunity, training and consistent work.
DoRaa was created to bridge that gap.
Today, our products are designed with intention and handcrafted by women artisans who are building independence through their craft. Each piece reflects patience, pride and the quiet confidence that comes from meaningful work.
DoRaa is not just about what we make.
It is about who makes it — and the future being stitched together along the way.

The DoRaa Difference
-
Made Slowly
DoRaa works with women artisans trained in hand embroidery techniques passed down through generations. Each garment takes hours — sometimes days — to complete.
-
Made Meaningfully
Our work creates sustainable income opportunities for rural women artisans. No two pieces are identical — because every rural woman artisan leaves a part of herself within the work.
-
Made To Last
Timeless designs created for everyday use, beyond seasons and trends. We produce in small batches, prioritising skill, dignity and sustainable income over speed.
Handcrafted by her. Made for you.
More Than A Purchase
When you choose DoRaa, you support:
- Training and employment for rural women
- Preservation of traditional embroidery techniques
- Ethical, small-batch production
- Independent livelihoods built through craft
A small choice can create lasting change.
